Investigating Network Degredation
The incident caused about 30 minutes of network degradation due to an internal packet flooding VPS. We isolated it and are investigating why it wasn't automatically stopped by our monitoring system.

Storage node connection troubles
An issue with SAN connection to one SAN had been disrupted, this required us to restart affected VMs. It affected VMs hosted on that SAN only. All VMs should now be back online, if there are any issues connecting to your VPS please contact us immediately.

SAN Failure
We successfully copied all data from the second failed drive to a fresh drive, then rebuilt the array. The SAN is back online and all VPSs have been restarted. We apologise for this outage and hope it hasn't inconvenienced our clients. This was a unique situation with two drives that relied on each other failing within 30 minutes (while the rebuild after the first failure was occurring), thankfully we had previously been assured that if this happened data should still be recoverable as SSDs tend to fail on write rather than read.

Firewall Failure
The issue has been resolved. The master firewall suffered a hardware failure, unfortunately it was new in it's life cycle and a major hardware fault occurred. We have removed it from operation and all services are online.

DDOS Affecting Network Services
We had a DDOS attack on a gaming client that lasted for 6 minutes at 4:30pm and again for 8 minutes at 6:50pm. We have terminated their service and blackholed the IP being attacked. As a professional services provider, we have also changed our policy so we no longer accept gaming servers or gaming related sites on our network.

VPSBlocks Website Maintenance
We have been working on a major upgrade of our website and the portal/control panel hardware infrastructure. During the hours of 12 midnight and 6am there may be some disruption to the VPSBlocks website, support website and portal access. This will have no effect on VPS services.
